Bear Glacier is also a great location to just relax and enjoy the scenery from camp while others paddle or hike. It’s perfect for a one to three-day Alaska adventure vacation. All trips begin and end in Seward, Alaska, gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park.
Bear Glacier Adventure Camp is also a great corporate getaway and small group meeting location.
Fully guided trip guest stays at our modern comfortable camp and enjoy guided activates including sea kayaking and naturalist-led hikes, beach combing or just relax and enjoy the scenery from our camp. 7-Day Aialik Bay Kenai Fjords National Park sea kayaking – Our 7-day Alaska sea kayaking trip provides a complete wilderness Alaska sea kayaking camping experience. We think that this is the single best overall sea kayaking adventure in Alaska. Trips depart from Anchorage on Sunday and returns on Saturday.
Aialik Bay, Kenai Fjords is famous for its wildlife and whales. We often see whales from the charter boat taking us out to Aialik. Our boat captain will stop and even go out of the way to give you an opportunity to see them. Kenai Fjords is one of those rare locations in Alaska that's just teaming with wildlife. We can almost guarantee that you will see numerous black bears. There are seals around the glaciers, sea otters, and bald eagles and an occasional mountain goat, coyote, and hoary marmot. There's also a haulout for endangered Steller sea lions, and masses of seabirds nest here in the summer, including the famous puffin.
There are three tidewater glaciers that spill down off the Harding Ice field. You'll witness the awesome power of calving glaciers from the best seat in house, your kayak. As the glaciers slide into the ocean the sounds will amaze you. The valleys come alive with thunderous booms and echoes, an experience you will not forget.
Do-it-yourself Guided Sea Kayak Rentals, Multi-Day Tours – A do-it-yourself sea kayaking trip that is accompanied by one of our highly skilled kayak guides. You save money by bringing your own camping gear and food, and doing your own cooking and camp chores. Our guide brings along extensive local knowledge and skills required for a remote Alaska wilderness adventure. Camping gear rental is also available at our Seward office.
Seward Water Taxi and Kayak Shuttle – Departing from Seward's small boat harbor water taxi service to Aialik Bay, Bear Glacier, areas in Resurrection Bay and Day Harbor are available though our friends at Aquetec and Alaska Saltwater Lodge.
